Hall Bath

Before and after shots of the hall bathroom. You can see the lovely linoleum that was in the kitchen and both bathrooms. It has a rose colored design in it. It matched the rose colored carpet that was in the whole house when it was originally built. The previous owner had replaced the carpet in the living, dining and hall with a nice berber. I replaced the carpet in the two bedrooms before I moved in but decided to go with the wood laminate in the entire house (except for the bathrooms and laundry area).

The kitchen and office are finished

Here is a picture of the kitchen, a shot of my desk in the office/guest room and one of Belle all cozy in her bed which has been temporarily relocated to the office. When she isn't busy inspecting the work, she is sleeping. Tough job.

The floors are laminate flooring by Tarkette. It is called Vineyard Elm and is from the Vintage Cinque Terre collection.

Work has started

Pictures of the fireplace being prepped for the new tile and a shot of Belle inspecting the work being done by Bill and Vicky. You can see the wood floors in the first picture. Belle is sitting on the new fireplace tile.

Tom the owner of Floors To Go in Fairfield has been absolutely fabulous. Of course I could not have made any decisions without my BFF Donna who wears many hats including "interior decorator".

Before pictures

The front door entrance and fireplace before the work begins. That tile has got to go.

Back Yard

Two shots of the brick retaining wall Ken's guys put up around the lawn. Previously there was bender board around the lawn. It had rotted and come winter I would have been dealing with a muddy mess walking from my house to the garage. I am probably going to have more work done on the back yard after the house is painted.

Outside Work

Ken and his guys from Blue Ridge Roofing did the work on the outside of my house. You can see all the new siding in this picture. The pink colored siding is the old siding. The grey colored siding is all new. The railing next to the back door is new as is the gutter up above the door and all the wood around the windows. There was a lot of work done that you can't even see in this picture. Amazing.

Here is a shot of the garage/loft. You can see the railing going up the stairway is all new.

Here is a shot of the side of the garage. The decorative trim was covered up with chicken wire and some sort of vine growing up the side. That was all torn down. Next up for the outside of the house is a power wash and paint from Ron Phillips Painting.
